The Kent Woodsmen Field Target Club is situated in the beautiful county of Kent, within easy reach of the M20 motorway.
It exists to encourage shooters of all ages and abilities, competitive and non-competitive, as well as promoting the safe use of air guns. The principal activity is field target shooting, as the club name implies, but a zeroing / plinking range is also available for those yet to dip their toes into the more competitive side of air gun shooting.
Abilities of club members range from virtual novices to three ex world champions, so whatever your own level of ability, you will always be guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome.
For any of you wishing to pay us a visit you will be made more than welcome. We only ask that you check with one of the club officers (use the contact button on the navigation bar above) to ascertain when the club field will be open. This will normally be Sundays, but the field is closed occasionally during the competition season, and we wouldn’t want you to have a wasted journey.

Many thanks to all those club members who have contributed photographs and other material, and in particular Gordon Eley. Thanks also to Dave Croucher for calculating the scores.
If you are new to the sport, and do not have an air rifle as yet, you will be welcome to use a rifle that the club keeps for this purpose. There are always senior members available that will be happy to help, and explain the club safety rules.
It is, in fact, quite a good idea not to purchase a rifle until after visiting us. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience within the club and help and advice is always available. Most members will be willing to let you try their guns and a better idea of the type of rifle that will suit you best can be gained this way.
