TARGET CLUB
CLUB RULES
- All weapons are to conform to any current UK power level
restrictions.
- No weapon may under any circumstances be pointed at any
person. Action of dismissal from the Club will be
taken if anybody is found to have broken this rule as
well as any possible civil prosecution.
- All weapons are to be kept in a suitable gun box/slip
when entering on to the shooting ground.
- All weapons are to be kept UNLOADED except
when being used at a designated firing point. This
includes removing the magazine from any weapons so
fitted.
- When moving around the shooting ground, the muzzle of any
weapon being carried must either be pointed up into the
air or down at the ground.
- Upon hearing a single whistle blast ALL
shooters must discharge their rifles/pistols
safely. Shooting may only recommence when 2
successive blasts of the whistle are heard.
- All shooting must STOP when a train is
travelling along the side embankment, even if a single
whistle blast has not been heard.
- All shooters under the age of 17 years must be supervised
by an adult of at least 21 years of age.
- When shooting on occasions when no "Nominal
Role" is taken, Members and Guests MUST
sign in using the Registration Book.
- All competitors are asked to assist in the placing and
retrieval of targets wherever possible. This also
includes paper/zeroing boards.
- When shooting on the course please move from left to
right along the target lanes.
- All field gates that access the Club ground must be
closed correctly at all times.
- Please carry your Club Membership Card as the Land Owner
may request proof of identity when using the Club ground
on "Non Shoot" days.
These rules are set to ensure safe
shooting. It is the responsibility of every shooter to
ensure that the safety record of Kent Woodsmen Field Target
Club remains at a 100% level.
